Nifty Social Media Optimization slang from SMOMashup.com
Kudos to SMOMashup for coining or using the terms, at least the first I have seen them used in the same post…
“Social litter” and “visual vomit”. Good read.
Conjurs up nice visuals and reminds me I need to prune the tag cloud with a chainsaw or something…
They go on to note:
Unfortunately for you readers out there it’s the job of this site to know what’s what and some of that is going to mean testing the waters with new ideas and new trends. Some of these will be successful and some of these will be completely a waste of all our time. It also means that while this site is pretty scaled back design wise, some of these tests might not be the prettiest and I ask for your forgiveness in advance.
For now my advice is to go ahead and experiment and have fun. You can always change your mind and some of my tests have not been pretty either. However some have been very insightful. The main thing is be willing to get your hands dirty and try it out. There is no better teacher than experience.
