Second Life Real Names to Incur $100 setup fee $1000 for Business

Second Life (check out some second life videos here) is reportedly getting ready to start charging if you want to personalize your name…hmmm not sure if I want my second life to mimic my real life- seems rather counter-intuitive. Individuals who want to use their real last name will incur a $100 setup fee and a $50-a-year maintenance fee. Then again maybe I will.

Meanwhile for companies, the ante goes up to a $1,000 setup fee and $500 a year for maintenance. That’s a lot more expensive than domain names…then again domain names are a little easier to manage- sometimes.
